On May 18, Lazdiju TIC together with the Lithuanian Soldiers Association Travelers Club and col. Lt. Rimantus Jarmalavičiusi organized the "Battle of Kalniškės: It is necessary to know" walking tour. The main goal of the trip: to familiarize with the resistance of Lithuanian partisans - the development of the events of the Battle of Kalniškės. The objectives of the trip: to familiarize with the history and importance of the Battle of Kalniškės for the state of Lithuania, to present with historical examples the necessity and essence of civil resistance in order to preserve statehood, to organize an interactive presentation in a real historical area, to promote the awareness and critical thinking of Lithuanian citizens in creating a civil society, to spend active time with the family in nature. The hikers walked about 10 km during the educational hike. The hike is sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense. Thanks to all participants and see you next year!
