DofE walk presentation

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Lithuania (DofE) is an international and exclusive program that gives young people a unique opportunity to develop in an experiential way. The students of Lazdijas R Šventežeris School participated in this program. At the beginning, the students took part in a test hike, which, after successfully completing, prepared them for the qualifying bronze DofE hike.

Gabrielė, Rokas, Simon and Erika - four from Lazdija district. The trekkers of the Šventežeris school, together with the horse Mr. Esposit, won a one-night qualification ride. When asked who was more tired - them or their friend Espositas - the schoolchildren joked: on the first day, the pony dragged them to the lodging place, and on the second day, they dragged the pony home.

Linas came to the event with his rehabilitation horse Milžin, which attracted a lot of attention.

Pupils from Seirijus Antanas Žmuidzinavičius High School and Lazdijaus Motiejaus Gustaitis High School also came to ask about the hike.

During the reflection, the experiences of the trip were discussed, impressions were shared and the importance of the DofE program for the personal and professional development of young people was emphasized. This hike and reflection inspired all participants to aim even higher and continue their journey with the DofE program.
