On April 14, at 6 p.m., the documentary film "Celebration" will be shown at the Lazdijai Cultural Center, highlighting the historical event - the centennial Lithuanian Song Festival "May the Groves Be Green".

The documentary film "The Festival" invites you to visit where the magic is born - behind the scenes of the Lithuanian Song Festival. The film shows unseen footage from the biggest events of the festival, the excitement and challenges of preparation, human talent that travels through generations, and an all-encompassing sense of togetherness.
In the summer of 2024, a week of impressive events brought together the people of the country, attracted crowds of tourists, and invited hundreds of Lithuanians from around the world to return to their homeland. The film asks what such a tradition means to Lithuania and what is needed to create an event of such a scale. The audience is revealed to what thoughts are swirling in the minds of the creators a few minutes before the concert. The film shares its thoughts with the director of the Song Festival Saulius Liausa, the director of the Ensemble Evening Leokadija Dabužinskaitė, the artistic director of the Dance Day Vidmantas Mačiulskis, the conductor of the Song Day Vytautas Miškinis, and famous people – professor Viktorija Daujotytė, composer Zita Bružaitė, the leader of the group “The Roop” Vaidotas Valiukevičius, photographer Neringa Rekašiūtė, and TV presenters Eglė Daugėlaitė and Aistė Plaipaitė.
