Exhibition of paintings by Grazina Janina Vitartaitė

An exhibition of paintings by artist Gražina Janina Vitartaitė has opened on the second floor of the Lazdijai District Municipality Administration.

During the presentation of the exhibition held before the Council meeting, Vytautas Žukauskas, a member of the Veisiejai community and a long-time initiator of the Veisiejai plein air, who represented the painter, introduced the artist to the municipal leaders, council members, and administration employees who attended the exhibition opening.

"She said that the greatest stimulus is feeling. She doesn't think - she conveys what she feels through colors," said Vytautas Žukauskas about the painter.

The author is recognized as a Lithuanian art figure.

Gražina Janina Vitartaitė is a Lithuanian Honored Artist, repeatedly awarded prizes, diplomas, and medals by the Ministry of Culture and the Lithuanian Artists' Union. A documentary film "Towards Inner Freedom" was created about the author. The author's works are owned by the Lithuanian National Museum of Art, the National MK Čiurlionis Art Museum, and foreign museums and galleries.

Gražina Janina Vitartaitė has already participated in the international artists' plein air "Veisiejų pavasaris" twice, and this year she is also a participant in the 25th anniversary plein air.

The author has been participating in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad since 1966, and has organized major individual exhibitions in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Hamburg.

The exhibition is open to everyone.
