On March 8, at 6 p.m., we invite you to participate in a night hike in Veisiejai Regional Park, which is dedicated to commemorating March 11 – the Day of the Restoration of the Independence of the State of Lithuania!
The hiking route will take you along the shores of the park's largest lake - Ančia, through pine forest paths, and through picturesque areas of Veisiejai Regional Park, which may be difficult to see at night, but you will definitely feel the relief of the landscape with your feet! During the hike, we will also visit the Barčiai cemetery and light commemorative candles. And to make the hike memorable, there will be various tasks, chants, and of course, the singing of the Lithuanian anthem!
Information about the hike:
- We will hike about 20 km.

- Meeting point - Veisiejai Regional Park Visitor Center - Santarvės St. 9, Veisiejai, coordinates - 479902, 5995900 (LKS), 54.100081, 23.692715 (WGS).
- We will wait for you to arrive 15 minutes earlier so that you can visit the Visitor Center exposition, pay the participation fee, and at 6 p.m. we will leave with cars to the starting point of the hike (about 2 km.). Therefore, we kindly ask you not to be late (!). The start and end of the hike are at the same place.
- The price of the hike is 5 EUR.
IMPORTANT:
1. The hike will take place in any weather.
2. It is necessary to have reflective items (reflectors, vests), flashlights (!).
3. Bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes. We recommend having warm tea (water) and snacks. You can bring holiday paraphernalia, candles and matches with you.
4. Minor participants in the hike may only participate if accompanied by an adult who assumes full responsibility for the minor's safety.
