Vladas Venckūnas (pronounced Jovaras), Igno, g. in 1924 March 11 Circle of sticks Šventežeri vls. Nemajunai village At the age of twenty, he joined the partisan unit led by Jonas Neifaltas-Lakūnas. The surrounding residents knew about it - in the village of Giraitė there was a partisan in almost every shed. in 1945 May 15 participated in the battle of Kalniškės with his brother Jonas, survived, but died a couple of months later (the exact circumstances of his death remain unknown).

in 2023 on November 12, at the initiative of A. Kamarūnas, a memorial stone and a cross dedicated to the memory of A. Venckūnas were unveiled at the place where the partisan died.
in 2023 December 8 the funeral of the remains of Vladas Venckūnas-Jovaras took place in Šventežeris cemetery.
