Bitė Vilimaitė-Šukie nė (b. February 16, 1943 in Lazdijai - October 11, 2014 in Alytus) is a Lithuanian writer. A master of laconic work, who concentrated a large amount of artistic information in a very small aesthetic form - short stories. He was born in Lazdijai, spent his childhood and adolescence in Kaunas, later lived and worked in Vilnius, lived the last four years of his life in Lazdijai district. Slavanta Sen. In 2021, a butterfly "landed" near the Public Library - a commemorative plaque, (author: Lazdi sculptor Algis Kasparavičius), dedicated to perpetuating the memory of the novelist Bitė Vilimaitė, laureate of the Lithuanian National Culture and Art Prize, in her hometown - Lazdijai.
