Palazdijai mound is located on the eastern shore of Baltajis Lake. Its slopes are steep, 9–12 m high. At the top there is a 20–25 m diameter site, which is surrounded on all sides by a 0.5–2.5 m high embankment. There is a terrace on the western slope of the mound. A bunker was dug near the mound during the war. To the south and northeast of the mound is an ancient settlement. Archaeological excavations have found ough surface ceramic crumbs, clay plaster, and animal bones. Papalazdijai mound and settlement complex dates back to the 1st millennium.
