Director of Lazdiju TIC , Eglė Kubilienė, represented Lazdiju at the meeting of the Association of Municipalities of the St. Jacob's Way in Merkinė.
It is good news that the municipality of Lazdijai district together with 8 other Lithuanian municipalities was elected to the board of this association. Two sections of the St. Jacob's Way wind through the Lazdija region, so active participation in the activities of the association will create added tourist value for our area.
During the meeting, the marking of this European St. Jacob's Way, its dissemination and cooperation issues were also discussed.
