Giraitė nature trail

There are probably no more trails in Lithuania that are intended not only for pedestrians, but also for those traveling on horseback. This is the Giraitė nature trail, which is located in the Metelii regional park, right next to Lazdijai. The 9-kilometer route is intended for nature lovers, as you have to travel through remote forest paths leading through swamps and lakes. In places, those paths are almost invisible, so you need to prepare like a real hike. Beech grove, wet black lichen and marshy lakes are the most beautiful natural corners of this trail, which you will have to find yourself, as there are no information stands. The nature trail established by the Veisiei Forests Office is a route through wild nature.
